Prenatal Care will include office visits with Amanda and her preceptor, Jennifer Green, CPM, to monitor the health and well being of you and your baby. At these appointments, we will discuss your options during pregnancy, perform any necessary or desired screenings, draw blood for labs, check your vitals, listen to the baby's heart tones, measure your belly, and answer any questions you may have. We plan to see you in our office every 3 weeks during the first two trimesters, then every 2 weeks from 28 weeks until 36, and then we will see you weekly until the baby arrives. Your 36 week visit will be a prenatal appointment in your home.

Midwifery Services with Amanda and Jennifer also includes support and care during your birth. When our clients are in labor, we will come to their home and monitor the mother and the baby while she is laboring, we will help catch the baby, and then we will care for both mom and baby until they are stable after delivery. When the new family has had plenty of time to bond and breastfeed, we will provide a thorough newborn exam, help the new mom take a shower if she'd like, we clean up the birth space, and we will feed the family and help them settle in bed so that everyone can rest.

Mothers who birth with Amanda and Jennifer can expect to be seen after delivery in the comfort of their own homes at around Day 2 and Day 5 to check on mom and baby. Then we see both mom and baby in our office at around 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks postpartum, with more visits when necessary. During our postpartum visits we will be monitoring vitals on mom and baby, we will provide breastfeeding assistance if needed, perform any necessary screening or lab work, and help the new family transition.
